World’s first 3-D printed car

World’s first 3-D printed car

When I think of 3-D printing a transportation object, I think about printing a skateboard or bike. I would have never thought printing an actual car would even be possible! Earlier this month, Arizona based Local Motors showcased their first 3-D printed car at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago. It took about 45 hours to print and build with 49 parts. This 3-D printed car is battery operated and has a top speed of 40mph. This is only the beginning, imagine the possibilities!
