Jan 29, 2015 The Most Unusual 72 Year Old
“Never Leave the playground,” says Stephen Jepson. An incredibly agile, both physically and mentally, 72 year old who appears to have the endurance and memory of someone a fraction of his age. Convinced that “play” is the secret to a long and healthy life, Stephen stays active from dusk to dawn filling his hours with numerous activities ranging from juggling tennis balls while balancing a can on a raised foot to jumping from rock to rock to increase his balance to throwing knives at a board and walking a slack rope barefoot. The man does it all! When you first watch the interview you will likely think he’s just one of those wacky lunatics, but he’s in fact a retired college arts professor and a renowned ceramic artist with a piece in the Smithsonian national museum. Quite the inspirational individual he now does speaking engagements, continues to teach ceramic classes, and travels the world trying to convince others to live an active lifestyle.
