Jun 10, 2011 Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art hosts “Art in the Streets” Exhibit
The Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art is currently hosting Art in the Streets – the first major U.S. museum survey of graffiti and street art. The exhibition will trace the development of graffiti and street art from the 1970s to the global movement it has become today, concentrating on key cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, and Sao Paulo, where a unique visual language or attitude has evolved.
Thanks to an “unprecedented gesture” by featured artist Banksy, admission to the “Art in the Streets” exhibit will be free of charge every Monday from now until the exhibit shuts down on August 8th.
