Jul 01, 2011 So you think you can Google+?
Damn if tech journalism doesn’t get more meta, faster, everyday. Google+ is a mere fetus, and I’m already getting pinged articles about the clique-ish nature of Mountain View’s answer to Palo Alto (P.S. The link’s a worthy meta-review).
My $0.02:
A.) I like to think that if Facebook was originally a diffusion of False Aristocracy, Google+ is straight up Petit Bourgeois. Six of one, half dozen of the other.
B.) Anyone complaining G+ is being stuck up should remember how quick we were to dump Friendster and MySpace when each tried to become ubiquitous and accessible to all.
C.) I like the name Google+ but “Circles”… Really, Most Powerful Web Platform and Company in The World? Buzz and Wave lasted about as long as… well, we’re all thinking it: a fetus in a hooker. You skanks didn’t wonder if nomenclature had anything to do with it?
