We’ve seen it! They’ve done it! The latest Mars rover Curiosity has made it to Mars safely. So it just dropped down and that was that right? Not quite, you could say it’s like a video game… And you can play along! NASA released a Mars rover landing video game for Xbox 360 and it’s free! Talk about getting the younger crowd rallying for the future of space travel!
The game is played using Kinect the motion controller add-on. So you have to maneuver the craft with your movements. The experience takes you through the entry of the craft to the rover drop down. Remember it’s “seven minutes of terror” to see if you get the rover landed correctly. If you’ve got a Xbox 360 and Kinect, go check it out or find a friend who does have one.
