Mar 15, 2013 House Vision
House Vision is an impressive new project recently launched by the talented Kenya Hara, our creative partner in the Architecture for Dogs endeavor. “Living in a city with a new sense” is the main idea behind the project, which aims to present the Japanese approach to dense urban living, while raising important questions about the future of our residential environments. And in the same way that our Architecture for Dogs project called on the talents of world-famous architects to interpret Kenya Hara’s vision, likewise, the House Vision 2013 exhibition pairs the talents of (some of the very same) architects and designers with big industry, such as the gokujo no heya by Naruse-Inokuma Architects, Makoto Azuma, and plumbing products manufacturer, Toto; resulting in a stunning creation which blurs the lines between inside and outside, bringing the garden into the bathroom, and vice versa. The House Vision website has an extensive English section outlining the project, and Japanese art, design, and culture blog, Spoon & Tamago have some of the best coverage in English we’ve seen online so far too.
