Sep 10, 2015 Busking in Downtown Long Beach
I attended my first Busker Fest last Saturday in the heart of Downtown Long Beach. Busker Fest is an annual event held by DLBA where local and regional bands perform on top of flatbed trucks, busking for wooden nickels. The bands in the line up got great exposure from playing in front of the Long Beach community. The crowd danced to the live music and put wooden nickels into their favorite bands bag with beer and kettle corn in hand. I was able to catch live sets from Rosie Harlow & The Tall Tale Boys, Bloody Death Skull, and Forest of Tongue, with a sublime Long Beach sunset as a nice backdrop.
