The U.S. Naval Institute has posted a bunch of great photos of “Cats in the Sea Services” that are made even better by captions like, “You may fire when ready, Muffin.”
This one’s of a cat named Wockle perched on the capstan of the USS Flusser in the mid-1920s. According to his biographer, Wockle’s saying, “Do not want!”
