May 16, 2014 Future Primitive
Imprint was lucky enough to have a visit with amazingly talented Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto while he was in Long Beach last week. We’ve posted about Sou’s work here several times now, as he is one of the contributors for our Architecture For Dogs project as well as being one of the most talked-about architects in the world at the moment. He’s a fascinating creative, with a truly unique approach to thinking about the way we use space, and maybe more importantly, the way different spaces make us feel. This Future Primitive talk is a digital presentation from a recent talk by Sou Fujimoto, and he really drills down into thinking about our homes in terms of nests versus caves. Probably not something you’ve pondered too deeply any time recently – but these are apparently the things that inspire a beautiful mind. It is also an excellent chance to get some insight into some of his projects!
