Mar 26, 2013 Imprint Long Beach playlist
I’ve been trying to convey through writing how amazing the Music Panel will be in the upcoming Long Beach: Work in Progress conference. Having Jack Grisham from the first-generation hardcore band TSOL (not to mention the goth project Cathedral of Tears, hard rock of Tender Fury, his return to punk The Joykiller, and the dark lounge of The Manic Low) and Chhom Nimol and Zac Holtzman from the internationally loved indie/psychedelic rock band Dengue Fever (with roots in Long Beach’s Little Cambodia) is unbelievable. Even better, Joe Escalante from The Vandals (another early hardcore band, which was based in Long Beach at the beginning of its lengthy punk rock career) will be moderating.
But it’s better to simply share the music. Since I can’t possibly invite everyone over to my house to listen to records, here’s a sampler that you can listen to on your computer. (If you’re at work, skip ahead to the pop-flavored The Manic Low.)
