Feb 19, 2013 Imprint Long Beach to take place at the historic Edison Theater
We’re pleased to announce that Imprint has recently received approval from the City of Long Beach to hold its spring conference at the Edison Theatre in Downtown’s Broadway corridor. The stately structure was constructed in 1917, and has housed a variety of businesses including the Nippon Pool Room and Barber Shop (1924), sporting goods shops (1927), and beauty salons (1943). It most recently was home to Cal State Long Beach’s California Repertory until 2006.
The historic yet vacant building is a perfect location to showcase the city’s ignored past and overlooked culture as well as its massive upside. The lobby still looks great, the main room has amazing acoustics and excellent potential, and the location can’t be beat. The Edison is easily accessible via the Blue Line and Bikestation Long Beach and right across the street from The Psychic Temple (the future home of interTrend, one of Imprint’s sister companies). Look for additional photos at the Psychic Temple site, as well as more updates at this site next week.
