If you’re looking for a sense of purpose, a little adventure and a sense of community, then look no further than Journey.
Start by raising $3300* with the assistance of a set of personal video campaigns. Next, pack your bags and travel to a foreign land (at your option) where you help build a home alongside the on ground construction support of Techo, local volunteers and the family that will live there. At the end of the build, you hand the keys over to the family and watch them walk through the front door of their home for the first time. After the build, you head to the coast for an immersive and reflective retreat complete with cultural experiences, yummy food and decompression.
Journey is not the “voluntourism,” you hear about on NPR, it’s a transformative experience born out giving back in an impactful way. It’s like Habitat for Humanity, Kickstarter and a yoga retreat had a genius baby. Prepare for a spark of entrepreneurial creativity that will inspire you to transform your community at home!
