Aug 24, 2012 Little Free Library
A library that requires no membership, no late fees, no return dates, and most importantly, no set hours. THIS, is the Little Free Library — a small box propped up out in the open on a random street for anyone to remove and add books as they please. You can even keep the book indefinitely! Such a simple idea, but an incredible one.
It all started back in 2009 when a teacher built one for himself and placed it in front of his residence for the community to enjoy. Fast forward 3 years later and the project is aiming to put up 2,510 more around the world, with over 10 already in the LA area. Curious where the nearest one to you is?
