You may have heard about the current exhibition at Long Beach Museum of Art which opened recently, and includes incredible contributions from the likes of James Jean, Natalia Fabia, Mario Martinez, Greg Simkins, Esao Andrews, and many more highly accomplished artists. Each artist was asked to contribute one “Masterwork” considered to be pivotal in their careers. The resulting Masterworks exhibition is an absolutely stunning array of complex contemporary art, another coup for LBMA. Earlier this week we were treated to a special Imprint sneak visit while the gallery was closed to the public. We had the place to ourselves, and needless to say, photos ensued. Believe it or not, I’ve left out some of my favorite pieces, so you still have a good reason to head to LBMA in person and see all this magic for yourself.
