Apr 26, 2017 REALLY DARK
There’s a war brewing, one that you never knew existed. The prize, the darkest color paint. In 2014 a UK company created a black they described as the “World’s blackest black” called Vantablack. It gained notoriety when when a British artist got exclusive rights to the color which made the art community incredibly upset. There’s a sequel to Vantablack they’ve dubbed Vantablack 2.0, A black that spectrometers couldn’t detect.
Now a company Stuart Semple has created a comparable black they call black 2.0, and a slew of other colors that have a special stipulation, artist Kapoor is banned from purchasing any of it.
