Ever wished you had one of those pedal-assist bikes to help you up a hill or to whittle away some of the miles on your commute? Now your hybrid smart bike is only a few simple steps away, thanks to the Copenhagen Wheel by Superpedestrian. Developed by MIT in conjunction with the city of Copenhagen, the Copenhagen Wheel replaces the back wheel on your existing bicycle, and you’re off and running cycling. It’s all automatic (no throttle etc) and it connects wirelessly with your smart phone, so you can customize settings, monitor your activity, and even develop your own biking apps.
